Before Garmisch released their debut album via blocSonic.com in 2010, they released two great EPs via the now defunct netlabel “Go! Jukebox”, “Black Paint EP” and “The Münich EP”. What you’ll find in this great Xtended Edition release are those two EPs, for the first time available in a lossless audio format! You’ll also find a few extra goodies… a cover of the Pet Shop Boys’ “Rent” (which was previously only released via the official Garmisch website), a couple remixes of tracks from that EP era and their complete debut album remixed! Remixes by award winning Public Enemy producer C-Doc, Read more …

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… Richmond, VA has an incredibly vibrant independent hip-hop scene. Our latest artist, The Honorable Sleaze is more proof of that. You may have heard him as a guest on previous releases, but I guarantee that you haven’t heard anything yet! Let the tasty morsels on this be testament to that until the full album, “This Funk”, drops, right here at blocSonic on July 26th! Word.
Thanks to Sleaze for joining the blocSonic fam!
Thanks once again to you, the listener, for continually returning and listening! Remember, keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support Read more …

Since launching blocSonic, I’ve been noticing connections between my graphic design freelance work and my personal projects (eg. blocSonic). Without initially realizing it, everything has turned out to have a common thread… music. I guess it’s only natural that all that I do is somehow music related or has gone that way, music has been a love of mine since I can remember. So, over the past couple years an idea has been growing… an idea to bring everything I do together under a common purpose. What form that would take has been a lingering question. So has been the question of what project would form the parent entity. blocSonic? nvzion? Read more …

Before Garmisch came to blocSonic, they released two great EPs with the now defunct netlabel Go, Jukebox!. Those EPs never saw a lossless release and deserve such a treatment, so we’re re-releasing them as part of what’s currently entitled “The Garmisch EP XE”. An Xtended Edition release featuring both EPs, a few extra EP-related goodies and a special remixed version of the self-titled album.
